It's incredible how many people there are in business that will hire an expert for money then ignore their advice. Like it's your money buddy.

One time someone gave me unsolicited but mildly constructive criticism on reddit and I started fixating and arguing with them for like 3 hours lol

There's also a newer Dune (spice wars I think) game that's real time and was supposed to be pretty good

We can never think about the long term or sustainably profitable businesses but if something might be the next growth market, we have to plow money into making it real to the point that it could decimate everyone's retirement and require a government bailout.

Also does not help that a lot of the people that work at places like the NYT went to the same schools as the people working at places like Google.

Tech media in particular was so fucking compromised that it basically took a bunch of random podcasters and an employee owned outfit to get any actual critical reporting. Practically all mainstream outfits were doing access journalism bullshit.

Great video, I watched it yesterday. I've recently been getting more into photography so the point about how crews are being lazy about the cinematography so it's easier to work with in post really struck me. Fear of committing to a scene.

Another incredible thing is that while dogs evolved to read our expressions, we also evolved that with respect to them too. Co-evolution. Nature's greatest partnership.

You can kind of sort out the people wearing it like a skin to signal some cynical adjacency to technology by checking if they understand the techniques used by the medium. Lots of mistakes and/or the not even pixels of an AI image is usually an indication they don't give a shit about the art itself.
