To be fair, at least for my mom, she hasn't kept up in a while. Hell, she tends to avoid the news as a whole (as well as most social media) because of the negativity feedback loop. Same probably applies to the others, but I can always ask. Based on previous convos though I think they're on our side.

but I'm also not keen on dampening the holiday (and birthday) spirit with politics. Some of my mother's side of the family were HP fans and probably still are since they don't know about Rowling's recent behavior. I probably should tell them tho but that can wait until 2026

I won't lie, if it does show up for my birthday or Christmas (they're like in the same business week), I probably won't complain as much as I should. It's gonna look out of place considering the rest of my diorama is exclusively Lego City sets (although I do own Stars and Bionicle sets)

Ah... Well now that I remember this is a thing going on, hopefully I took the Lego Hogwarts Express off my wishlist in time. It'll be a shame to not have the only official Lego steam engine in my display, but it's not like I can snatch one from her while accusing her of being her own enemy so to say
