This is a Sears catalog from 1941. Adjusted for inflation, those jeans would be about $17.30 today. You find me a pair of union-made raw denim made in USA jeans for that price today, I will eat my hat.

True, but the garments in that picture of the laborers were all made to a higher standard and offered at a lower price relative to what is affordable to today’s workers. If you want pants made like those or sweaters made like what the average fisherman had in 1910 you’re paying luxury prices.
