She is a master manipulator. It doesn't help that she is a special needs cat (arthrosis, and she was very sickly and nearly died as a kitten from chronic issues), and that she is very affectionate, and quite timid with strangers. She also likes being played on like a bongo.

My mom's cat Mati learned how to say "mamma" when she gets ignored for too long, and she does it with a most pitiful tone, so it's impossible for you to ignore her basically. She will just go to the corridor and go "mam-ma? 🥺 mam-ma? 🥺"

Yeah, I basically know nobody there who is not either living with their parents or sharing the apartments with other people in their 30s. Or they banked out with a damn good job. But it's a bit bleak in that sector.

However: damn fine theatre plays, even in smaller towns, and damn cool festivals.

It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.
