There’s always a special energy at re:Invent... a mix of builders, founders, partners, and curious engineers who make this ecosystem what it is.

We’re grateful for every person who came up to the booth, asked questions, shared feedback, or just said hello. You made this week worth it. 🍻

This week we:

· Met incredible customers who stopped by to share how they use LocalStack
· Had deep technical conversations (and some hilarious, sleep-deprived ones)
· Survived on caffeine, determination, and questionable expo snacks
· Filmed our final vlog of the conference

Day 3 of our vlog captures our team's fun energy:

· Jacque announcing “we need more money” (relatable)
· Alex sharing his hips hurt like an 80-year-olds
· The team wandering through the Venetian/Palazzo hall mazes for days
· Ending the night with the conclusion: “Let’s gamble until we’re bankrupt.”

re:Invent with the LocalStack team is a marathon.

But at least we’re documenting real life (chaos?) so you don’t miss it. 🍿 😁

Which re:Invent day hits you hardest?

Day 1 adrenaline, Day 3 hip pain, or Day 5 existential crisis?

Whether you're building approval flows, integrating with third-party APIs, or validating complex JsonPath expressions, the new TestState makes it easier to catch edge cases early.

Try it today with the `latest` LocalStack image!

You can simulate, inspect, and iterate on state machine behavior without touching the cloud.

This means:

• No AWS costs
• No IAM setup
• No need to deploy anything
• Faster iteration & predictable results

🪄 Live Demos & Real-World Debugging

Our Day 2 vlog captures a classic "live-coding" moment where Dominik had to jump in for a quick network fix on a demo.

Thomas, ever the cheerful instigator, couldn't resist playfully asking, "What are you doing? Stop stopping LocalStack!" 😂

The LocalStack team isn't here to give you a boring, stiff sales pitch that inspires you to bolt for the nearest exit.

We are here to talk about awesome local developer workflows, how to cloud dev/test on your laptop, and generally just have a good time with our community!

LocalStack acts as a drop-in target for your existing IaC tools, spinning up your entire AWS stack locally (on your laptop) in seconds.

✅ 70% Faster
✅ Validate Everything
✅ True Integration Testing

You change one line in your Terraform or CloudFormation, hit apply, and wait... 5, 7, sometimes 10 minutes for your AWS stack (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB) to provision. That time adds up to days of lost productivity a year.

The LocalStack Solution? Instant AWS sandboxes. 😎
Overview
Use LocalStack with Infrastructure as Code tools to validate your infrastructure deployments and run tests against them.

No EC2 instances are emulated (functions still run in containers).

All new APIs and resource types are supported so you can develop confidently before deploying to AWS.

This feature will be available in LocalStack v4.12; early adopters should use the latest release available in DockerHub.

The LocalStack team collaborated with the AWS Lambda team ahead of launch so you can test this model locally to:

• Define Capacity Providers
• Test deployment flows with CloudFormation or Terraform
• Publish function versions & validate config
• Run fast, local iterations without touching AWS
