I'm not a lawyer, but I really don't believe they're justified in charging you rent outside the lease agreement like that.

It's really fun! The original, despite all its flaws, was a very special game and getting the secret message from the developers by reaching the "end" of the mind dungeon was a top gaming moment for me. Hopefully with time people will look back on it more fondly than its initial reception.
