The article is a longer read (it's a collection of people's stories) but I feel it's worthwhile to get some actual human voices -real people talking about their actual, real life experiences- on this subject.

I will say that... if (when) you have a lot of comic pages, having a website where they are all collected is a LOT better and easier for new readers to browse through than a creator's social media feed (or feeds, if they have to switch platforms).

Does "juvenile RPG" mean it'll be a highschool setting...? And if so... man, why can't these RPG vets -who are all probably older than I am- make an RPG with a middle aged (or even senior!) setting? I'm pretty sure the field is wide open; it'd have no competitors.

Many, actually! it's one of the ways kanji make sense. If you have something bird related, there's a good chance that its name will include the bird kanji as part of it - either as one part of a completely new kanji (which is called a "radical") or just as part of the full name for the thing.

Anyone that's played Persona 5 might remember the reason for this:
The one extra line in the kanji for "bird" is meant to represent the bird's eye. Buuut... since crows are so black, you can't usually SEE their eye - ergo, the kanji for "crow" doesn't have it.

Karasu is the Japanese word for "crow" or "raven", but while it /is/ often written in katakana, I don't think it's a loan-word.
It has its own kanji, which you might notice is derived from the kanji for bird.
