Isiah Whitlock Jr was a familiar presence in NYC theater as well as film/tv. We had quite a few mutuals and I met him more than once. He even popped up at a music show at my regular dive bar once because he happened to know some of the band. Warm and funny and impossibly good-natured. RIP

Had the great pleasure of seeing Daisuke Tsuji (Jin Sakai in Ghost of Tsushima) onstage last night in Alex Lin’s LAOWANG. Charming, hilarious, and an absolute treat. Play was good too.
