North Carolina welcomed me with rain (and hope).

Congratulations to The Baltimore Sun on its early entry into the "Dumbest Fucking Headline of 2026" competition.

I'm sure there will be many more submissions to come from the all-star David Smith squad.

This is not the flex you think it is, governor.

Read about drugs. Write about drugs. I am drugs.

Mayor Brandon Scott has announced the dates for Artscape next year. Sources tell me that the weather will be beautiful and nothing will go wrong.

'Tis the season for curb-stompin' boots.

Sounds about right...

State's Attorney Ivan Bates is over on Instagram gleefully boasting about local law enforcement agencies busting some dudes with bricks of cocaine and two (2) .22-caliber rifles.

Say it with me now: Iron Law of Prohibition.

My mom called me freaking out about a mouse. Unfortunately, the three cats appear to have befriended the mouse, leaving my terrified mother helpless.

Applied for my passport today. Can't wait to commit tax fraud and flee the country. My life is a movie, man.

Baltimore, I am back.

I'll be doing a write-up on the Reform Conference for this week's newsletter, but the event — attended by 1,800 people — made one thing clear: The harm reduction movement is alive and well.

No More Drug War.
November 17, 2025 at 4:21 PM
I'm standing in line at the airport, awaiting my flight to an international drug policy conference — so it's ironic that I'm now seeing yet another example of Baltimore's drug-war policing.

As long as this persists, the city's response to the OD crisis will fail miserably.
November 12, 2025 at 1:54 PM
It's no secret that Conway has used the OD crisis to boost his political profile, as evidenced by his constant grandstanding at committee hearings.

He's done so while calling for MORE drug-war policing and disregarding the opinions of public health experts. It's despicable.

In case you needed yet another reason to support the Pittsburgh Union Progress...

Why did no one tell me that Blueprint Cafe in Charles Village has kimbap — and its Wi-Fi password is delirium tremens?

I've found a new home. I don't care that delirium is spelled wrong.

Update: The Banner has edited the article and inserted a "clarification." It should be listed as a correction, at the very least, as they published blatantly false information despite the drug supply data being publicly available.
October 9, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Here we fucking go again. The Banner is reporting that benzodiazepines are "often" found in Baltimore's drug supply, which is FALSE.

They cite "state testing" without providing the data. I've already reported on the RAD data — it shows benzos are very rare in local test samples.

And now this lineup is coming to Baltimore in March? Jeeeeez.

On Day 3 of skating everyday to get some exercise/re-learn tricks. Haven't fucked myself up badly enough to end up in the hospital yet.

Will provide updates from the ER when it inevitably happens.

The Baltimore Fountain of Youth.

What the hell is up with this photo/pose? I guess the ICE-loving bigot doesn't share the photogenic gene with his cousin.

Also, can we stop platforming these losers?
September 24, 2025 at 11:49 PM
The BPD is touting another drug bust today. As always, the people they arrested — and the drugs they seized — will immediately be replaced.

Drug users will pivot to an even more unpredictable and lethal drug supply. The enforcement won't hurt sales; it'll just hurt people.

Oh, the horror! What would we ever do without our favorite bootlickers over at Fox45?
September 22, 2025 at 9:01 PM
As someone who has smoked crack, I can guarantee you that it's better than beaver nuggets. And it's definitely better than this ridiculous article that the Banner published, which has absolutely nothing to do with Baltimore (or even Maryland).
September 19, 2025 at 7:00 PM
And fuck no, I'm not paying them. They are blatantly shielding information from the public, all while taking advantage of the fact that I don't have some millionaire-funded outlet like the Banner/Sun to back me up and cover the costs.

This is absolutely ridiculous.
