Admittedly a niche question but why do Skip Bayless and Perry Farrell look the same in advanced age

Man I'll scream about this to anyone who will listen. The gambling marketing in Connecticut is just reprehensible. Literally running ads nonstop where people are getting zoned out on their phone gambling like it's some harmless thing while they're out with their dog, playing golf or at a salon
Connecticut, like other states, has seen an explosion in legal gambling over recent years — and, it seems, an explosion in gambling addiction.

"It’s like having a casino in your pocket."

"This is the new opioid epidemic."

Is the state ready?

Zuckerberg really is an all-time grifter. After spending the next couple years convincing right wingers he's on their side, he'll show up at some Dem's presidential campaign in the next election cycle with a new look and spewing the buzzword du jour. That guy doesn't know what he believes.

A sad referendum on just about anything creative these days. Music, writing, you name it. Gotta do cartwheels on social media to get any traction, and it then becomes more about who is good on social as opposed to who actually has the talent in a specific domain. It sucks.
In order to sell books I must spend time on social media but the more time I spend on social media the less time and focus I have to write my giant books which makes it harder to sell the books I already have but all I want to do is write books so I can sell them so I must spend time on social med—

The Patriots firing Mayo but not totally cleaning house is insane to me. Just start fresh, Wolf didn’t show you anything this year either. Fire Mayo cause the fans are about to start a mutiny. Fire Wolf because he has to do more than pick a QB in the 1st this year and you can’t screw up this draft.

And they’ll still finish behind the Red Sox in 2025
So the Yankees have now signed starter Max Fried, traded for All-Star closer Devin Williams and added Cody Bellinger since Juan Soto chose the Mets over them last Sunday. And they will sign a free-agent first baseman between Alonso, Walker, Santana and Goldschmidt.

As a Sunday leaguer in New England (makes me a soccer expert) who used to cover HS soccer in Boston (super expert), can confirm that the soccer is lowkey nice up here. The Vermont story rocks
Vermont winning a men's NCAA soccer title is one of the craziest things imaginable.

For reference, before this, Vermont has NEVER won a non-skiing national championship in any sport.

The move to Apple TV killed my interest in MLS. You could see from a mile away it wasn't gonna work. With the NBC/PL agreement you can at minimum stumble upon a game on linear TV. But hey at least MLS got a nice payday for obliterating their casual fans and making games annoying to find for diehards
When MLS season pass was on ESPN+, it was included with the cost of the service. Then you move it to Apple TV and even though I pay for Apple TV+ I still have to pay for MLS separately. I have enough subs I have to pay for already

I like Juan Soto. Would be thrilled if the Red Sox got him. But it feels like these reported bids are more a response to fan pressure than a reflection of the talent. Spectacular player but giving that skill set $700 mil is unconscionable to me
