Oh that's easy, so you know what a billiard ball is like, so just imagine that but too small to imagine and it's not a sphere or any particular shape and you can't touch it and it's not made of anything and it doesn't have any properties except the ways you interact with it without touching it

Ah sorry, wasn't looking to pick a fight over this. Sometimes I think social media needs a way to flag the seriousness of posts, from "just chatting about something interesting" to "I will fight to my last breath on this hill". Hope I didn't come across as too far to the latter end of the scale

And conversely I'm not arguing that it's definitely possible or definitely coming soon. Just that "we have no idea" really means "we have no idea". 10 years ago you'd have (reasonably) said that we have no reason to think "steal a library and stir it with linear algebra" would make anything at all

How many decades of drug development have we managed to get from "these chemicals seem to work on these symptoms, let's try these similar chemicals on these similar symptoms and see what happens"?
