Filthy rich investors use tax cuts & jack up rents to fund their housing portfolios. But tenants & owner-occupiers suffer with high home prices and now, increasing mortgage repayments! The system is broken, and on purpose. This needs to be changed NOW starting with ENDING unlimited rent hikes.

Today's interest rate hike is yet another proof of how billionaire property investors are screwing over first-home buyers and renters.
While the RBA is trying to tame inflation, what does the data show are the two biggest contributors in the last 12 months?
1. Home prices
2. Rent hikes.

Today's housing price data reveals first-home buyers are being priced out by property investors. While renters have to save for years on a deposit, investors are allowed to jack up rent, using it to buy more houses. To ensure everyone can afford a home, we need to stop unlimited rent increases NOW!

It should not be up to citizens to take governments to court for climate action. Our elected representatives must listen to the science in their decision making.
Which is why the Greens are introducing a climate trigger bill soon. The ball is in ALP's court to approve it & uphold international law.

Two HUGE victories for the climate movement this week -
1. The International Court of Justice ruling countries are legally required to curb emissions (including one's from Aus' Coal & gas exports)
2. NSW court of appeal reversing a coal mine approval due to its emissions including exported ones

People in upper outer suburbs in Melbourne are skipping essential care because the Northern hospital is under-resourced and has insanely long wait times. In a wealthy country like ours no one should miss out on healthcare. Yet we see Labor only propose minor relief packages or hide behind inquiries.

Reasons to approve the North West shelf project -
1. It will appease ALP's fossil fuel donors.
2. (That's it really, there are no other credible reasons)

Reasons NOT to approve the North West shelf project:
1. It will lock in decades of fossil gas extraction 💥
2. It will badly damage the Murujuga rock formation. Which is one of the world's oldest rock paintings! ❌
3. Fossil gas extracted will be mostly exported, and mostly without paying royalties.👎💲

To solve climate change, we need policies that improve EVERYONE'S lives, not just the rich. Labor's home solar policy does not do this. They'll charge every house a levy to pay for some to go solar. But, the Greens will make sure EVERY home can be solar powered by taxing billionaires to pay for it.

All data point to a minority govt. By getting the Greens in power, we can keep Dutton out and get Labor to act. That means Dental & mental into Medicare. It means caps on mortgage rate & rent increases. It means strong environmental action that doesn't put profits over the planet. Get involved NOW!

The federal elections are right around the corner. You have the power to create a better Australia. Voting for the same 2 parties will not bring the change we need. A vote for the Greens is a vote for dental & mental into Medicare. It's a vote for meaningful environmental action. Vote 1 Greens.

Basically Dutton's speech is migrants are bad and the cause of your problems, and also we need a lot more fossil fuels being pumped out while giving $20k a year for blokes to take their mates golfing

Last year, Foodbank Australia reported - one in three households experienced food insecurity. In this cost of living crisis, people are having to choose to pay for food or pay for their bills. The govt's new $150 energy rebate is so not enough. We need to cap rent & mortgage rate increases NOW!

It's official - Colesworth are the most profitable supermarkets in the world! Based on the ACCC's latest report. They are raking in massive profits in a cost of living crisis. This is what an oligopoly looks like. Without action, grocery prices will keep rising. The Greens will end their power hold.

This year, Australia dropped two spots to 52nd in the Climate Change Performance Index rankings. Out of 63 countries (+ the EU). This is shameful. Labor and the COALition listen to their fossil fuel donors rather than take real action. Vote 1 Greens for climate action the science tells us we need!

Aus Economic Inclusion Advisory Committee's report is out now. The #1 recommendation - increase the base rates of JobSeeker and related working age payments. Every $1 into JobSeeker returns $1.24. The Greens have been fighting for this. Poverty is a political choice. Vote 1 Greens for real action.

The other main point from the HILDA survey - more houses than ever in Aus are damaged & destroyed by Climate disasters. We need fossil fuel companies who caused climate change to pay for the repairs. Aotearoa NZ, and New York are making them do it. Australians want it. We need to get on it soon!

This would be a great start!
Australia’s billionaires raked in $67,000 an hour last year.

While millions struggled to afford rent or groceries.

It’s time to turn the tables.

The Greens have announced our plan to tax Australia's 150 billionaires to fund cost of living relief.

The HILDA survey, Aus's biggest social survey reports - inequality is worse than ever in the country. This is when 3 million are in poverty (That's ONE in EIGHT) and the cost of living crisis is getting worse. This is so bad for a country so rich in resources. So, how do we fix this?

Happy Labour Day! Today we celebrate one of the union movement's biggest victories - the 8-hour workday being adoptedas standard in 1856. Workers previously endured 14-hour days. But workers' rights are still threatened and we must continue fighting for fair treatment and dignity in the workplace.
