So I went ahead and put together a functional PNGTuber using obs-shaderfilter 2.6.0. What's great is this filter can be applied to any source in OBS! Same goes for the blink and talk textures! Let me know what you think!

OBS-shaderfilter 2.6.0 allows you to use an audio source in your shaders and so I wrote one that squishes an image to the music.

My first stream of the year vs Last stream of the year
My stream overlay from the beginning of the year with the pngtuber of my pikachu OC I was using for the first year or so of streaming. Layout was designed to look a bit like the interface on the computers in Jarassic Park. Title screen displayed is for the game Lorelei and The Laser Eyes My current overlay with the fancy moving star nest shader background from my co-op Resident Evil 5 co-op stream with fraunchtoost.bsky.social Toost's pngtuber and my 3D vtuber by Rose is displayed in the lower left. The title screen of Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition is displayed. There are some chatters making jokes about squirrels.

Happy anniversary of this post, when I was dipping my toes into VRC last year! Saw myself in @khinro.bsky.social's public Harumi avatar with big mouse ears and a long tail and got a little emotional. This feeling went on to inform my new sona!

As a once-a-week streamer, the 12 for 12 challenge will be a big commitment for me! I've reserved April to board a certain starship, but otherwise I'd love to hear your recommendations for the rest of the year!

I'm mostly interested in short, single-player experiences. Puzzle + Narrative preferred!
