i didn’t even bother checking online to confirm they have wifi bc i was so sure they did; i’ve never ridden a train that didn’t have wifi. luckily i have my hot spot but not everyone has that option

the parklets are continuous (unlike Santa Cruz, they take up entire blocks), have free outdoor seating, and appear to have been implemented at no cost to the businesses (also unlike SC).
lets hope the city’s overt support for the businesses overshadows the loss of parking and the pilot can continue!

my pictures don’t do it justice, but they’ve added street furniture, parklets, curb bulb outs, and have free public seating in our downtown plaza (and in the parklets) - can’t state enough how important it is to have free public spaces for people to exist in!

i wish these tracks were built for high speed passenger rail but freight is prioritized so we can’t have nice things
