Dates only have power if you give it to them. I used to do this. Dread an anniversary of a bad event. No longer. Yep. Bad stuff happened on a date. But, I’m taking back that day and making good memories

She wants someone to be negative. Then she’ll have an excuse to act out.

I hate passive aggressive bullshit. If it was a family dinner I might understand. But, this is for her parents, uncle, and aunt. She made a big deal about taking over holiday duties. And then messes it all up. On purpose. She’s going to cry when it goes sideways. Not new behavior

My son has had enough. Putting ham in oven.

But, not doing anything

Ok, Ok. She is sabotaging dinner. She doesn’t have a single thing cooking. There is a ham. 3 turkeys breasts, and a huge dressing that all has yo be done. Even her dad said, hey, I’m hungry. Nothing. Just made herself a bowl of cereal. We’ve all offered to help. Nope. She wants to do it.

Thanks, Helen. I’m staying out of it. She wants to do it all. I’m doing my best to keep a good poker face. But, I’ve already had to break into the sandwich meat

If she was going to be chill I’d roll with it. But her CHAOS demon waits till the last second to do everything and when something goes wrong she loses her mind. I’ve offered to help. I’m staying out of way. As dirty dishes accumulate I’ll clean them, play with kids, etc. I hate the CHAOS demon

The ham, turkey, dressing and other sides aren’t even cooking yet. It will take a minimum of 6.5 hours to cook. This is her event. I asked if she needed help. Nope. I’m staying out of it. But, it’s hard. She plans on eating about 5. I don’t want my anxiety to keep growing or infect them.
