Today our Lambeth River team laid a wreath to mark #WorldSuicidePreventionDay.

We want to echo an important message from the Samaritans: if you think someone might be suicidal, take action, interrupt their thoughts & show them you care. To find out how, visit https://samaritans.pulse.ly/qknp2ncfgd

This #999Day we want to recognise the hard work of the 2 million people that work in the emergency services, including 250,000 first responders.

Teamwork is key to being prepared, & we've captured some incredible moments from recent training exercises with the Met and London Ambulance Service.
A firefighter in full gear, including a neon helmet and reflective stripes, walks down a street. Nearby, a bright blue and yellow Metropolitan Police vehicle is parked. In the background, other emergency responders and vehicles are visible, along with a large metal structure and bare trees under a clear blue sky. A police officer and two firefighters, wearing protective gear, carry a person on a stretcher down the stairs at a train station. The person on the stretcher is wearing black trousers and blue shoes. Behind them, other people walk up and down the stairs, and signage indicates directions to different platforms. Emergency responders in bright yellow and green jackets, labeled "Fire" and "Ambulance," kneel inside a tram car, attending to a situation. They are wearing helmets and surrounding a medical bag on the floor. Three firefighters wearing yellow helmets and gear carry an elderly man in a red shirt and black pants to safety. Beside them, an emergency medical responder in green uniform gives a thumbs up. Emergency bags and equipment lie on the ground nearby, with lush trees in the background.

All our crews are returning from North Yorkshire today, marking the end of the mutual aid provided to our family in Yorkshire.

We are just one of many crews who attended the Langdale Moor fire, and we'd like to pay our respects to the farmers and other FRS that worked alongside us.
