We're surveying Regents Park, a park we've surveyed since 2016🦔

Huge thanks to Raffles London at The OWO who part funded the survey & volunteered with deployment!

This will provide vital insights into this important central population!

Did you know that #Tawnyowls can rotate their heads up to 270 degrees! An owls forward-facing eyes cannot move in their sockets, so they must turn their heads instead. This movement helps with finding + catching their prey!

#ThrowbackThursday to this squirrel's fortunate getaway in 2022! We captured quite a bit of action on this camera of a juvenile fox chasing them, but the squirrels always managed to escape! 🐿️ 🦊#FoxofTheDay @chrisgpackham.bsky.social@zslofficial.bsky.social

4) One of my favourites from previous library tours is the beautifully illustrated book on insects of Suriname by Marie Sibille Merian. I’m now thinking I need to come up with a research project that requires me to live in the library and devour all these incredible books! (5/5)

Help wildlife in this heat by providing/checking water sources! Whether a pond, pool, or bowl, make sure its #hedgehog friendly!

Place shallow, clean dishes of water & add small stones to give insects something to float on🪲 🦔 🐦 🐝💧 #WaterforWildlife @zslofficial.bsky.social

#Badgers gather straw by walking backwards creating a large ball! 🦡

They then take the straw into their den for bedding, nice & cozy! We caught these amazing images of this unique behaviour in Kingston last year🦡

Happy #WorldEnivronmentDay 🌍

#Hedgehogs require a variety of habitats, areas for foraging, nesting, & shelter! Their presence suggests a healthy ecosystem with good habitat and connectivity. By making the environment better for hedgehogs we make it better for wildlife! 🦔
