Last week I saw a queue of tourists waiting to have their photo taken with a London phone box.

It made me smile — what’s ordinary to us can be extraordinary to someone else.

It’s that time of year — conkers on the ground and spiders in the house!

Some say spiders don’t like conkers, though science isn’t sure. Maybe it’s just a lovely autumn story that returns each year, like the rustle of leaves.

This year marks 75 years since Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, laid the foundation stone of St Columba’s Church after the Blitz.

We’ll celebrate with a special service on 16 Nov — all are welcome, congregation and hall users alike.
