When I first saw some Kirby Air Riders videos I thought that’s just too much chaos for my tastes. After playing it a month I’m like…give me more! I seriously checked to see if I could add more machines to this chaotic 33 lap race, lol.

12/19/25…Marking this day as the day my project begins to get my systems cleaned up, working, cables replaced, connected to the TV, and ready to play whenever I want. I expect it will be a long process but I have a RetroTINK on the way so I’m committed to getting this done.

Wario World has some unique bosses. I have the game on GameCube from 2003 but I remember very little from it. Fun to revisit on NSO.

How can you not like Ed from Tonic Trouble? 😂 Man, this game takes a lot of patience because you will absolutely take damage and die when it’s not your fault. But still, even with massive warts I kind of like it. This genre of N64 gaming will never get old to me.

Nice…playing Kirby Air Riders and thought something was wrong with my Switch. Suddenly races were running much slower in that even the timer was running behind normal time. Finally figured out I accidentally put it in slow mode. 🤦♂️ Forgot that feature was even a thing.

Tonic Trouble on N64 NSO controls rough and has a camera that is ass. But you know what? I’m down for it. Enjoy trying out these older games I passed over back in the day.

Overpriced? Absolutely. But for me, they add to the authenticity of the Nintendo Switch Online experience so I’m glad to have them all. I’m right around 1,000 hours played for the older systems on this service. I’m not sure my enthusiasm would be the same without the controllers.

The recall feature in these Dragon Quest Remake games is genius. Select up to 30 comments from NPCs to save. Someone gives an obvious clue that you think might come in handy later? Save it. No more vaguely remembering a clue from a couple days ago. Love it.

Actually considering breaking out the old NES with Dragon Warrior and playing it along with Dragon Quest 1 Remake just to appreciate the similarities and differences.

When I’m progressing steadily, Metroid is awesome. But when I get stumped, Metroid can be frustrating. Nice steady progression today!

Purchased my 6th, and most likely last set of vouchers. Going to miss that $10 savings. Fortunately you can always find eshop cards on sale so there is still some savings to be had.

Man, as a kid I used to make elimination brackets of all (at the time) 28 NFL teams and play to a Super Bowl. I seem to recall playing 5 or 6 seasons like this. These really bring back memories.

I’m always amused that 2 games featured on the back of my Nintendo GameCube box never released on it. Also discovered my receipt inside. Apparently I got thru the launch line at 12:25am on 11/18/01. Also references the still fresh 9/11 incident. Paid $199.99.

It’s interesting that with Age of Calamity I experienced fatigue and eventually mainlined it to finish. I’m now over 30 hrs with Age of Imprisonment and am still doing every side quest available. I especially like trying to complete the character quests. It’s a game within the game.

I’m glad Nintendo is giving us new islands in Animal Crossing. I’ve got each area of my current island themed to a holiday and don’t really want to change it!
