Don't get me wrong, I would be absolutely devastated if my wife died, but I don't need her in order to be whole. I married her because I greatly enjoy her presence, not because I need it. She fulfills me, and I think that's far better than completing me.

The brain can be like that sometimes, especially where any kind of trauma and/or mental illness is involved. I've found it really helpful when those types of negative self talk thoughts come up to examine if it is helpful or not. And if it's not helpful, regardless of if it's true, then dismiss it.

Of course, I'm not gonna financially support these people after everything, but I'm tired of being told that I can't draw or interact with the media that I genuinely enjoy because the creator is a piece of shit human.
