Treating in-party losers as leaders in development is so perfect. I even thought that the person who conceded but then ran should have ran for county commissioner next. That was before un-conceding. So much political and human capital in the unchosen candidates.

Yes! One camp I tried 3 or 4 years in a row to get in (succeeded this year!). Some near me are super popular and sell out that fast, others are slower, especially through parks and rec.
