Yeah I was thinking something like this, where all the UV moving that you would do with hand you would happen inside geo nodes. General principle of having swatch texture would be the same.

I hacked some photoshop style color picking functionality into fantastic Color Picker Pro (by Spencer Magnusson). Now I can finally paint like a normal person in Blender. I am pretty sure every Blender user hate the default color picker hidden gazillion clicks away #blender
