The stress has caused him to start nooking on our blankets in our bed. Which is a self soothing behavior similar to nursing. We’ve seen him do it here and there over the years. Even at 7 yrs old he’s still not too old for this.

Two more viles were added making a total of twelve. They wanted all my blood. Took three pokes and two phlebotomists. All for the good because this gives post surgery markers. #myjourney #ostomylife #cardiaclife #trusttheprocess

I haven’t really posted any photos of surgery accessories. This is the drain I’ve got in the left side of my abdomen. Have had since I woke up from surgery. Monday I get it taken out. I am nervous and will say, I’m afraid I might pass out. And I have a pretty high pain tolerance. #myjourney

I haven’t really posted any photos of surgery accessories. This is the drain I’ve got in the left side of my abdomen. Have had since I woke up from surgery. Monday I get it taken out. I am nervous and will say, I’m afraid I might pass out. And I have a pretty high pain tolerance. #myjourney
I’m unapologetically posting these photos of him mainly because my wife told me he had wandering around the house looking for me the last 4-5 days before I came home. He really wants to make sure I don’t leave again. We don’t normally let him sleep with us, I think tonight he will.

These are from earlier. The small things that are in our daily lives, taken for granted. I ended up walking 1.09 miles between two different walks today. I was hoping to catch Mt. Rainier, just a few too many clouds were out. Fresh air felt great and so did the mind scape of getting outside

3 weeks is entirely too long to go between head shavings. So glad to have a fresh shave. And look who’s hanging behind me!! 😃😃 the happiness in our home right now is in abundance. Pain meds are on board after a .62 mile walk and a shower and shave. Time to nap and have some good pain meds dreams.

Meal 3 since I’ve been home and number 4 of the day. Big Mac tacos. Going higher protein with the burgers but still light with low carb tortillas and sugar free g Hughes burger sauce. This is my fourth one. Gotta work on putting that weight back on.

previously. It was all on them when they purchased the previous companies work. So with a mixture of a contractor which is our neighbor and the propane company’s we won’t have to use our little 5 gallon tanks anymore. We had to have our deck cut to where they could access the tank. So our neighbor

We went with Baron to follow royal lineage. Our first dog was named Duke our second dog was Duchess. So next was Baron. In this pic Duke is the big eared one (dachshund/ shih tzu mix) Duchess is a Toy Fox Terrier

This is literally 5 minutes ago. I miss this little knucklehead so much. 10 hrs of seeing him in the last 2 weeks isn’t fun. The amount of loves he’s getting when I get home is going to be endless. He’s truly my soul dog.

If you look close enough, you can see all the dots on my hand from where they have been drawing blood every 6 hours for the last almost 3 days. My right hand seems to be the only veiny place that wants to cooperate. I think with the small progress made today though that we are down to twice a day.

So obviously hospital isn’t that great and it gets boring after a while when I’ve been here going on 9 days now. So I got creative with the dinner and made a Mac n cheese burger. Turned out better than I thought it would. And kept me satisfied. #myjourney #ostomylife #muchlove
