I can confidently say she is finally done! My Haru Urara weighted and warming plushie I made in her memory after passing away on the 9th of September at the age of 29 due to colic.

I get the math, but zone plates still seem like straight up wizardry to me.

If you're contact printing Id just build an array and give up on the collimated part, although you might lose a bit of sharpness. It works for exposing silk screens.

Parabolic reflector feels like a good answer too.

Diode, optional pinhole, fused silica lens assuming your definition of "bright" and "collimated" isn't too strict.

Now perhaps it's the act of picking a pepper which is somehow already pickled that's worthy of memorializing in a tongue twister. Fair point. But the alternative is he was simply pulling the pickled peppers out of a barrel, which is effectively just shopping.
