Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this.

I play this mobile game Evermerge and for their Xmas events they play this seasonal music. I enjoy it but wish it didn't go away with the event. So, found someone who was kind enough to upload the song.

I was looking for something in my freezer and found a bag of fruitcake from last year. I love fruitcake and was like excited to have some. However, I was worried if it was still good, since it's been a year. Then I remembered it's fruitcake: Of course it's still good, it's got a shelf like no other!

After 20 years, I finally got autographs of the main 4 Slayers VAs!

There was a Pokemon card worth $6000 and it was Pikachu dressed as Mario. You could get a set of Pikachu dressed as Mario, Luigi and another for a bargain of $15,000.

Last week's convention was 70% Pokemon cards, 10% Funko pops, 10% Pokemon plushies and 10% misc.
Thinking about the Pokemon cards, it's interesting how Nintendo started as a playing card company 200+ years ago and today they are still a playing card company.Good longevity.

A week ago I went to the Rosemont Hyatt for a comic con. I haven't been there in a decade. A decade prior to that I was there every year with my friends for a convention. Money and interest waned, so it stopped. So, I felt a little emotional coming back to my old stomping grounds. It was awesome.

Went to celebrate my promotion at my favorite Chinese restaurant. I've just been going to this place since I was small. It's also really yummy and their wonton soup is the standard I hold other wonton soups to.

I've been wanting a new social media site. Sometimes I just want to make a blog for myself.
Got a promotion at work today. Had the interview, they stepped out and came back in with the offer for. Very grateful for it but, also yes, I do kind of deserve that promotion.
