Ha! I am pretty positive Pete was one of the super rich lake people and JD was just middle class. But in terms of complete phoniness and privileged good ol’ boy/bro racism and misogyny? For sure— culturally similar.

So why doesn’t she sound outraged? She has been completely underreacting to all of this and I am so sick of it.

He grew up in Forest Lake, known regionally as “flake”. It’s a trashy, ugly little exurb with a lot of poor and lower middle class folk and a few super rich people who live on the lake. I know, I grew up nearby. His superiority complex is like a John Hughes movie, he was the richie in a poor town

I have family literally all over the place in the twin cities. My family is white, brown, multiracial and multicultural. Some of us are so worried and vague posts are less helpful. That’s the point.

Some of us have family there and need to know more detailed information.

You can’t say this without telling us the neighborhood. Please. Where exactly?

Oops let me correct myself. David Gentile was pardoned after a $1.6 billion fraud scheme. My number was too low.

More culture war shit to distract from the fact he is grifting and allowing his billionaire buddies to do the same. Love how Tim Walz got nailed re: the billion dollars in fraud in MN while Trump just pardoned his buddy for running $1.5 billion fraud scheme the other day.

So exhausting.

But what are the QAnon folks saying? Do they even care?
November 12, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Yeah it’s a strategic move by Jackson to ensure that benefits are provided and SNAP doesn’t get hung up in the courts for even longer. The headlines about this are typical clickbait bs.

In Boston we saw a total of 3 counter protesters and they were angry and yelling at some people on the common, trying to start something (no one took the bait). The only angry people we saw all day. They are in power and have their way, why are they still so mad?

This is part of why I canceled my NYTimes subscription. They just spin and normalize everything he does no matter how damaging or insane. Should have canceled it a while ago— the recent irresponsible op eds finally sent me over the edge.
October 11, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Yea that sounds totally plausible. How embarrassing.

I just cancelled my subscription. They are platforming dangerous anti-democratic ideas with little context or pushback. It’s one thing to publish opinion pieces that I find disagreeable. But they also publish sane washed headlines and content that refuses to acknowledge the US is in danger
