Also, also! It's important to show up even if one doesn't know all the PC lingo or feels over their head when they hear other people talking about politics, social movements, etc. We can't know everything and as long as we're willing to learn and sometimes be wrong, that's all that really matters.

Our society is so enmeshed with fossil fuels that it's extremely difficult to remove them from our lives entirely. Plus the fact that our usage of them is miniscule in comparison to industry, corporate, & military use of fossil fuels.

Yus! I was just listening to the Grifty podcast where they said its okay to not be perfect when showing up for issues you care about. If you haven't completely disconnected your life from fossil fuels, for instance, you're not being a hypocrite for working towards reducing our dependence on them.
