Something that a lot of people forget is that the Christmas toons give us the most insight into the misery of being a holiday toon. The Easter and Halloween toons have more interpersonal drama, but the Christmas toons are close-knit. Their turmoil is tied to their identities.

I've been hoping if we do get a Valentine's Day toon, Qwel uses this exact premise. I wonder how they'd get along with Shelly.

Alternatively, they could blush red because of cartoon rules, but I always preferred them blushing black. It just made more sense to me, though it always feels awkward to describe in fics. "His cheeks burned black," sounds like a medical condition.

The sorrow I feel when I remember all the childhood play places I frequented that have since shut down... augh!! I can't even fathom losing a place as big as Gardenview. That's decades of memories shut down in an instant.

Unbeknownst to most toons, Goob is extremely emotionally intelligent, which is why he's able to stay so happy even after Gardenview's shutdown. He still feels negative emotions, but he's learned how to recognize and regulate rather than lashing out or burying them.

My theory is that Bassie's dependence was on Gardenview's staff, not the other toons.
