Exaggerating every single contact. The worst part about it is neither the commentators nor the refs pick up on it. Hard to watch this kind of ball.

Yeah I thought the same, until I saw this angle. It's an understandable decision of the VAR, if that's the footage he looked at.

So turns out there is another angle. This one looks like there is a double touch. Even though not beyond a doubt - I've seen balls jump a little from stepping next to them on the pitch. But I think based on these pictures the decision is tenable.

I looked at both available angles multiple times and didn't see the ball move even one bit. If the foot was slightly in front, the ball could have touched it on its way to goal, but that would give at least a very slight forward spin. Unless the VAR had other angles/tech, it's the wrong call.
