US #farmers are a success story, growing more than we can consume. To support higher market prices for farmers, the US gov't was buying grain and sending it abroad, creating goodwill. A twofer!
Yet farmers voted in '16, '20 and '24 for the guy who couldn't wait to slash foreign aid. Go figure.
