I have one like this, it's a great kind of white noise machine. Delighted to see the pufferfox version.

And you can get a print copy at art galleries and newsstands all over LA, or at Barnes & Noble nationwide!

Incredible talk describing precisely what binds us furry weirdos at the end of the world together, forming a poetic of alien fur, linking it with UFO culture ––– everybody is a friend; beautiful!! Watch it!! And watch Rukus (2018) too.

Here's my talk from the Furry Studies 2024 conference, "What is Werewolf Cybernetics?"

Turtles in cinema, plushie holography, space brothers, midnight phone calls, and submerged dreams. It's also about staying alive in an alienated world, and the queer alchemy of furry intersubjectivity.
What is Werewolf Cybernetics?
with Auryn (Brett Hanover) It’s the emerging discipline that everyone’s talking about, but just what is Werewolf Cybernetics? Is it truly a revolutionary…

Yes. RPG, like the way Warriors fan cat clans do.

All artists should be so lucky. You are blessed to be in the middle of a movement like this, at a time when your work is so necessary, so essential.

Furry artists, you are exactly where you need to be. Your work saves lives. We need you now. I need you now.

I'm in this culture war to win it.

I hope Room Party reminds every furry that they are part of a vast collective art project - one that builds intimacy, queers fixed ideas, and dares to imagine a better future. One that thrives on love and authenticity - one that is dangerous, sexy, and actually fun! One that is ALIVE.

This was one of the most important things I've ever had the privilege to be a part of. A chance to turn a gallery into a truly furry community space, to advance the furry contemporary art scene without compromise, to connect so many brilliant people. A chance to reaffirm why we do what we do.

Room Party was everything we hoped it would be. Thank you to co-curators @uglygirlswag.bsky.social @aski.bsky.social and @hypertyping.bsky.social. Thank you to Bunker Projects for seeing furry art as we do. Thank you to the artists and to everyone who visited. Thank you for cuddles, hugs, and tears.

And with that, the show comes down. Thank you to everyone who made it out to the show over the past two months. From the team: it couldn't have been possible without you 💜

Thanks. Don't need that one, but if no one else is interested in the camera, I might be. Let me know.

My favorite film camera! I probably don't need another one, but what lenses do you have?
lordpook.bsky.social
An instant classic of New Furry Cinema, created specifically for Room Party. The effect on the crowd was dramatic - we were stunned, overflowing, riveted, changed. An essential piece for thinking about the future of furry. What have capitalism's placeless places done for us? Where else can we go?

Not that there aren't real accessibility problems and exclusions in academic discourse. But it's too easy to just dismiss it, as if access to a seminar is the only way these things move through the culture.
lordpook.bsky.social
Every time you hear this argument that theoretical/academic stuff should be dismissed as too elite, it's not taking into account how all kinds of sources work together and mutate to build movements. And it's always coming from people who have already read the thing and are now too cool for school
lordpook.bsky.social
Someone once told me that when Gender Trouble first came out, everyone was reading it, but it seemed so theoretical and academic - what was the political program? But he said it was amazing to watch how, over the decades, it trickled into everything, and people figured out what to do with it.
