EXACTLY! I actually came to say this myself! I even said this in a Facebook post back in 2016. We idolize people who are cruel (Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsey and the constant conflict of reality TV personalities). It's no wonder we have a reality show prez.

And prior to that, Trump took his cues from Evangelical preachers. He saw them getting tons of money even AFTER being convicted of fraud (i.e. Jim Bakker) from followers and switched from non-churchy Democrat to "Christian" Republican. He saw how easy it is to fleece Evangelicals.
