Today was a bit surprised by the Hubei Museum’s take on the Qin Dynasty. Basically - yeah they united China but were super oppressive and trampled on the Chu so F ‘em.
Some friends were having a picnic in a park in Nanjing when a bunch of PLA soldiers with guns showed up. A bit ominous until the soldiers leaned their guns against a tree, sat down in a circle, and starting playing Duck, Duck, Goose.
Did the Emperor *really* think he had New Clothes and just couldn’t see them himself? Or was it a power trip to force everyone around him into accepting an outright lie and further subjugating themselves?
