This is exactly what is so frustrating - this guy will have a bunch of good takes and then come out with garbage bullshit like “marriage is between one man and one woman”. I really think we just need to pay less attention to what ANY individual celebrities (which is what he is) think

This guy was so fun - my son was sitting next to me and told me to use the control beam and I thought “surely that can’t be right” and it was and it’s just so neat. And yeah it looks incredible.

That’s just ignorance and assumptions on my part, apologies! I do think another part of it is that he mixes in stuff like kwizatz hadderach with stuff like “Paul”. Which makes it more believable and makes perfect sense because Paul has already been a name for millennia, of course it would persist.

Yeah I mean in that regard it’s a simple marketing problem more than anything. The AI buzzword has just been applied to everything, even though not a single one of these technologies is intelligent in any sense of the word.

The tone of this is crazy! “Sure the models can’t actually do what they claim, but the real problem is that workers - the people who actually have to use this shit - are selfishly biased against it! The CEOs - who never have to rely on it and want to eliminate workers - are the ones who know best!”

Sometimes I buy into the narrative that I’m missing out on the graphical end of things by not buying an Xbox or ps5, but then I see modern games in screenshots or whatever and it’s just the same boring bland poorly executed janky faux realism. Why?
