If you look at what’s happening to our country through the lens of trump (and musk) as a Russian asset, it becomes very clear what he’s doing and where he’s taking the country. Our mistake is trying to make sense of it in any other light.

Today has been a real measure of how Blue Sky can replace the bird. In the past, I would turn to Twitter to learn real time info on things like the LA fires. Now that site is just filled with bile (except Los Angeles Scanner). Blue Sky has stepped up to fill the void. Thanks to all here.

Worth underscoring. The right has built a powerful communications apparatus driven by politics, emotion and entertainment that sustained unpopular ideas for decades, working them into the party’s agenda and ultimately state and federal law.
One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.
Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
