Back in the 80s when I was in high school, students would have their rifles mounted on the back of their pick up trucks during hunting season and nobody batted an eye. No one stole it. Police weren't called to the school because of a gun. Something has changed because no way could you do that now.

No. Teens tried that. They were ridiculed by politicians and conspiracy theorists. No need to traumatize a child further. It's not their job to save the world, it's ours. We need to do better. Not them.

Those who supported him did so with their eyes wide open. They were told. They refused to believe or thought it wouldn't affect them personally. Well guess what....Maybe it was a woman telling them. Or a liberal. Or even a five star general. It wasn't good enough for them so no forgiveness here.

I wish more business owners made their views known. It would definitely make my choice of who I give my money to that much easier.

I don't think we were ever that far from it. I just think that those who are privileged (and not necessarily monetarily) didn't see it until now. It's in our faces. It's on social media and recorded on everyone's phones. If you turn a blind eye it's intentional at this point.

I'm sad to say that my eyes were blind to most micro aggressions that I and those around me exhibited. I didn't realize and that is no excuse. But I'm more educated now and doing my best to allow myself to continue to accept being educated and fight for everyone to have a piece of the pie.
