Looking forward to a day of teaching Values Based Reflective Practice (VBRP). So much of the teaching comes from the energy in the room where people share their experience, questions and knowledge with each other. A day where I can teach but also learn so much.

With assisted dying dominating the news, please take a moment to consider your own wishes around the end of life.

It's surprisingly quick & easy to plan ahead.

This guide from @hospiceuk.bsky.social covers advance care plans, powers of attorney etc. So useful.

Planning ahead
Planning things like what type of funeral you want and who to leave your belongings to can make your final days easier, giving you more time with family and friends.

A sense of community can't be manufactured or rapidly reproduced. It takes time and space to grow organically through each meaningful connection, in the natural sharing of dilemmas and ideas. It happens gradually, and it depends on genuine curiosity, listening, & reciprocal generosity.

Curious to know if anyone is using a scoring tool to measure distress in patients receiving sedation at end of life? #palliativecare #ICU
