RSPB Dungeness, Dengemarsh Marsh Hide 25.11.25 - Lesser Black Backed Gull “H049T” rung as Pullus on 12.07.21 at Trischen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

I previously photographed the bird in October 22, at the Fishing Boats at Dungeness.

From yesterday’s away day to Sandwich Bay.

The long walk from the Obs at Sandwich along the beach to Pegwell, was a success, as we managed to locate the Shore Lark.

Which worked its way along the strandline towards us.

The Tuesday Birders Club made its first escape this winter to Rye Harbour today.

A host of birds on show with waders to the fore, plus Spoonbill & Grey Partridge the highlights.

The Spotted Redshank provided point blank views and best photo opp of the day.

After a disappointing Seawatch this morning, and after arriving at the Obs, we found that the Pallas’s Warbler rung on Sunday had been caught again in the moat, always worth a photo.

Dungeness this afternoon from the Fishing Boats, another day mostly spent seawatching, some highlights this afternoon, an Arctic Skua, one of 30 odd Little Gulls past & a Great Skua.

RSPB Dungeness , on a chilly windy morning, from the Susan Crawford Hide, I was surprised to find a Garganey amongst a group of Teal.

My latest Garganey here at Dungeness since I moved here in 2013.

Lydd on Sea VC15, the mothing season continues here by the sea, a reasonably mild night again, led to a respectable 63 of 15.

Highlight was this Scarce Bordered Straw, lurking on the fence above one of the Actinics this morning.
