I love making TBR piles! It is so much fun to pick out books I want to read. Do I ever read them all? Nope! But I have piles of books now!

There is something so profoundly heartbreaking about sitting in your childhood room - the place you called home for 22 years - and knowing you aren't going to be coming back.

"'In fact, Wyatt is probably looking up at us from he'll right now, raging at me to start swinging a club around to avenge him.'

'Hell?' I said, scandalized

'Heaven wouldn't be interesting enough for him,'he said, firmly."

Who among us hasn’t dreamt of slowly descending down a stone spiral staircase with a torch in hand and discovering a hidden candlelit library filled with thousands of centuries-old novels and being welcomed by a cantankerous yet endearing library ghost?

Throwing this out into the internet:

Has anyone else ever read All of Us with Wings by Michelle Ruiz Keil? If you had, can you tell me what you felt about Xochi's relationship with Pallas's father? I really didn't like the way they went about it. She is 17 and his child's nanny, why is it romantic?

I read Gentlest of Wild Things!

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

A great examination of mythology, this Eros and Pysche Inspired Story has it all. Lesbians. Monsters. Commentary on the way women have been treated as objects to be owned. Eirene's love of her sister is strong, and her love interest, Lamia, is great!

I love libraries. I will never forget when I was 14, going to the library with my friends to do our summer reading work. We sat in a corner for hours talking to each other and working. The librarians came over to make sure we went to the free lunch table so that we had something to eat while there.

Just finished reading Banned Book Club!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book caries such a powerful message, especially with our current political climate.

"So you gotta wonder. Do they ban books because they see danger in their authors, or because they see themselves in their villains." -page 170
