So are they ever going to release a decision on ManCity's situation/investigation? Did I somehow miss the closing of that saga? Or are they just going to pretend it doesn't exist in a "too big to fail" sort of manner?

Given the government's track record of prosecuting headline cases in jury trials lately, Maduro is probably just on a taxpayer funded vacation to the Big Apple.

Holy crap, since I seem to have found my 15 minutes of fame with my earlier post on the Kennedy Center, let's add this -- would any of the people currently gnashing teeth over performer cancelations care to frame their outrage against the backdrop of the right's decades-long attack on the arts?

Given Kennedy Center president Richard Grenell's recent post, now seems a good time to point out that the true purpose of art is to comfort the disturbed and to disturb the comfortable. It has never been about "being for everyone" and needing to correct that demonstrates how unqualified he is.

Great volleyball season for the #Huskers. Sad to not see this team win it all, but mad props to Texas A&M for doing something folks had been saying all year wasn't possible and winning the battle at the net against Nebraska. An amazing team won't get the accolades it fully deserves. GBR!

Just rewatched the game and am so impressed with the way the #Huskers handled Wisconsin tonight. This team appears to have the same streak-igniting ability that last year's did with an even more active defense. Going to be a fun, fun winter i hope.

If only we had a nation that reacted to school shootings with this same immediacy. (To be clear, we SHOULD care that 2 National Guard members were shot. We should ALSO care when two, 10, 12, etc. Young lives are gunned down in similar fashion!)

So the promised DOGE rebate checks never materialized. The tariff rebate checks aren't going to make it either. At least the first time around he actually sent something to test out where the public's loyalty price point was. Now we're at "promise a shiny thing and hope it distracts" turf.
