Just picked up and knit a good couple of inches on my Book Club Cardigan sleeves…I’m so glad I read through other people’s projects and picked up two sizes bigger. The sleeves would have been so tight and awkwardly proportioned otherwise 😅

Secured someone to help us shear the sheep in a month or so, dewormed horses, picked up feed for the horses and the sheep, cleaned the sheep shelter and put fresh straw in, and am now four inches into the body of my handknit and handspun Book Club Cardigan. I’d say it was a productive day 🤌🏻

I don’t know why it makes me so nervous, but I’m about to start filming another fiber arts podcast (btw. Calling it a podcast is so confusing to my neurospicey brain 😂) and it literally feels so overwhelming.

Just a couple of more months until these little buggers get shorn and I can finally play around with handspinning /my own sheep’s/ fiber 🤌🏻

I obviously made some design changes after taking the in progress photo, but I’m actually rather chuffed with this spindle! The main shaft could be thinner (it always looks so much thinner on the lathe!), but I like the little bone details 🤪

Just finished the right shoulder and then realized why the armhole was looking weird — instead of knitting to the length of size 7 my dyslexic brain knit to size 2. Took me a few days to catch my mistake as well 😂. Now to knit another inch & a half on the back panel!

Pretty sure my 11 week old kitten is a) a saint and b) the cutest thing you ever did see 😭. Only took maybe a day or two to train him to not attack the yarn and fiber when I’m spinning 🤌🏻

I have so much hand pain from overuse during art school (I would spend anywhere from 80-120 hours a week hunched over drawing and designing on my computer) so this is a topic I find so interesting and useful in my day to day life!

We got a new kitten a couple of weeks ago & he’s doing great…but all three of our dogs are herding dogs. It’s a constant barrage of me telling one dog to stop trying to herd the new cat, and then having to yell at my female collie for trying to enforce my rules by then trying to herd the offender 😂

I finally got a set of chaiogoo interchangeable needles for my birthday…my gosh is it more pleasant. I had to get 4” tips and thought it would anger my hands — but it’s actually much more comfortable w/ my knitting style. Definitely wish I’d upgraded years ago
