One neat trick I tried this time was to temper the cheese-egg mixture by submerging the bowl in to the hot pasta water after i fished it out with tongs. I'm not sure if that's what has done the trick or generally better technique

I don't think so. py is effectively p + some offset and pointer arithmetics is well defined. only issue i see is that if p is null then py would pass the zero test yet still point to most likely invalid memory

There are third party oses that claim to remove most of anti-feature. Eg. GrapheneOS. Even with stock firmware there are ways to defend yourself against third parties (dont install fb) and to curb some google spyware

Become friends with tor. Use it for the most random and innocent stuff, like cooking. Thus any shady searches will easily lost to the noise
