as someone who has gone to protests it is not nearly this bleak. opinions like this keep people in power and is how complacency is created.
You have any idea how much risk goes into protesting? Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and most jobs will fire you if you go to a protest at all. There's a high chance you'll just get arrested even if you did nothing wrong. The system makes it impossible to protest.
