The government is saying that violence rules. That snatching foreign leaders and territories, and shooting US citizens in their cars at point blank range, is justified. That resistance is not only futile, it is dangerous. They can say these things. But they cannot force us to believe them.

The thing about being a full-time carer is that you have to get up and make it happen even when your heart is broken and you just want to scream.

A timeline of Earth’s average temperature since the last ice age. Spoiler alert: It’s definitely getting warmer. And it’s happening increasingly, scarily fast. xkcd.com/1732/

What does this mean?? It was in my letterbox. The cameras don’t show that far down the garden, so I don’t know who put it in there.

Some of the items we used and then put back on the table when outgrown again, and some of them I held on to and used for my next babies, even when my circumstances had financially improved, before passing them on to other friends. Not really a point here, just remembering the value of a village (5)

Which kids outgrow quickly, and which where I live aren’t needed for much of the year, and I didn’t have the money to spend to buy. Those tables helped me enormously. I’ve always thrifted most of items (clothing, furniture, anything) and getting those free kids clothes was a boon (4)

Which wouldn’t be shameful at all, it just wasn’t accurate; I did it because I wanted us all to have clean facilities to use. Some of those parents though would bring in their kids’ clothes they had outgrown, and leave them on a take-what-you-need table. Shoes and clothing and winter things (3)

And take in milk, a homemade treat for the parents, and craft for the kids to make. It was supposed to be a different parent doing it each time, but most parents never volunteered. I also used to clean the toilets of the hall we used, leading some parents to assume I paid my way by cleaning (2)

When my eldest was a toddler, I would take him to local play groups. I didn’t have a car and he didn’t like the stroller, so I would carry him everywhere (before I was disabled). I had only a couple of dollars “mad money” per week and I would use that to pay for our play groups donations (1)
