Among the primary properties that characterise wuxia are the gravity-defying #action scenes. Warriors sword-dance on tree branches like ballerinas sculpting the air enveloping bamboo leaves. They leap across rooftops of palaces, mansions and inns, running while barely touching the rooftiles. #vss365

Jianghu inspired the idea of living in a mountain cottage occasionally covered in mist that folds itself like a blanket, like layers of a wedding gown; mist of ghostly rivers rolling in springtime sleep, a cloud-dragon. Nurturing that dream has become an #abundance that money can never buy. #inkMine

These lines of storytelling inspired my excitement for intellectual rebellion. As I entered my 30s, the childhood madness that my elders took #issue with turned me into an observer of life’s marginal details, a grassroots scholar who valued satire and courage in the face of unjust authority. #vss365

I transported myself to mythical worlds lost and found. The gentle flow of my destiny — delicate as a celestial maiden’s whisper — had passed through a silk curtain. Those worlds had always existed within my being; and finally, as a social reject at school, I had found them on the TV screen. #vss365

I lived and breathed those characters. I transported myself to #mythical worlds lost and found, to events rising from rivers of parallel history — hundreds, thousands of years ago. To this day, I still believe those events are continuously taking place in dimensions intersecting with my own. #vss365

Good morning, writers!
From tomorrow your host will be the lovely & healthy Sheila @lovehealthed.bsky.social who will post at 8am GMT.
Thank you all; it's been great apart from the early mornings!
My final word is #transport - very apt as I trundle off into the sunset.
