I'm glad you're enjoying my home town of Montreal. That door chime actually mimics the sounds of the original 1960s metro cars. The electric engine would hum those 3 notes as power was progressively applied at each start. The newer cars don't make those, so it's a rather clever wink to the past.

I've had a Honeywell WiFi Smart thermostat for many years now. Not too fancy but it does the job. The app is easy to use, and it's been reliable. No PG&E messing with it.

I greatly appreciate your comment here, but we need to be relentless on this. The incompetence of that national security team is simply unacceptable. As the father of a Navy Seabee who is being deployed overseas, I urge you and your colleagues to act. Be effective, not just right, and keep at it.
