Reminds me of when I asked my husband to always think about who he was walking behind after dark, & if it was a solo woman to cross the road or fall right back. He didn't understand how 'he' could be threatening until I explained that it doesn't matter, we are programmed to be wary. For good reason.

I hear you. I got to past childbearing age child free, and free, and then a fluffy gremlin sauntered into my flat and decided he lived there, and my travels got a lot more complicated 🙄🐈
