I've never heard "pint" used to mean 500 mL. Beer in "tall" cans - probably meant as 'pints' - is 473 mL.

I shouldn't have forgotten 568 ml was the Canadian pint, given the passage in 1984 in which the old-timer says .5 L is "not enough" and 1 L is too much.

Part of my problem with Mr Carney's approach is that I do not believe Danielle Smith is acting in good faith on the climate quid pro quo.

they were issued from a CPC war room ("The carbon tax doesn't help the environment"). But perhaps he's got a policy document somewhere, backed by some independent analysis, that I don't know about.

What's the new data? I'm aware of modelling (a couple of years old now?) that showed Canada had a chance of hitting its targets under the old policies. I'm not aware of any modelling that shows Mr Carney's "plan" will get us there. I hear talking points from him, some of them that sound like 1/2
