Well, this is stressful... 😂 And I'm not even drinking this afternoon. Just wanted to update a list. #Untappd #Untappddown

#12BeersofXmas Day 12. Fullers Vintage 2012. This has got a bit of a Bovil note. Quite malty, a little warmth. This one might have peaked.

#12BeersofXmas Day 11. Fullers Vintage 2013. A slightly bigger bottle (a pint rather than 500ml). This is all fruitcake. Not much carbonation. Lingering warmth.

#12BeersofXmas Day 10. Fullers Vintage 2014. Very dark ruby colour. Big sherry notes here, quite sweet. Very low bitterness.

#12BeersofXmas Day 9. Fullers Vintage 2015. Full-on mince pie aroma. Boozy fruitcake flavour, with quite a low bitterness level. Very nice indeed.

#12BeersofXmas Day 8. Fullers Vintage 2016. We've now reached the John Keeling era. This one is less overtly fruitcake or raisins than others. Rather, there is a bit of burnt caramel, and there is a pronounced bitterness.

#12BeersofXmas Day 7. Fullers Vintage 2017. Quite mellow. Low carbonation. Raisins all the way. A bit of toffee.
(The differences between the years are pretty subtle. This is starting to feel like describing NEIPAs! 😂)

#12BeersofXmas Day 6. Fullers Vintage 2018. You know you're getting to the good ones when it has the little card in the box, and it's 'signed' by the head brewer. This one is really plummy, with quite a bitter finish.

#12BeersofXmas Day 5. Fullers Vintage 2019. Boozy, raisin, orange and a hint of black pepper.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals! 😘🎅🏻🎄🎁

#12BeersofXmas Day 4. Fullers Vintage 2020. Mellow, fruitcake notes. Nicely balanced, not bitter, not that boozy.

#12BeersofXmas Day 3. Fullers Vintage 2021. This one is a bit one-note, lacking complexity. Gorgeous smell when I opened the bottle, but the flavour doesn't deliver. Raisin at the very start which dissipates quickly, and quite a bitter finish, but not much in between.

#12BeersofXmas Day 2. Fullers Vintage 2022. Well carbonated again. Sweet and boozy. Lots of raisin, low bitterness. Not much of a finish.

#12BeersofXmas Day 1. Fullers Vintage 2023. This is a nice start to the series. Well carbonated. Smell of rum raisin ice cream. Notes of apricot and toffee. Gently bitter. A nutty finish as it has got warmer.

I decided a while ago on my #12BeersofXmas.

Every Fullers Vintage from 2023 back to 2012.

While I still buy these every year, the excitement has gone since the big overlords took over the brewery, so it feels like time to drink up and close the chapter.

Went to 40FT for the first time today. Lovely beers. But I forgot how achingly hipster Dalton still is...
