I'm officially done with Twitter. I tried to linger there, but it's now obvious it's not worth it to post over there.
It's the trans issue that bothered me more than anything else, I think. I strongly support trans rights and despise Democrats' calls to give in, even just one inch, to GOP views...

If there was any justice, we'd have trials like the ones at Nuremberg for all these folks that tried (and often succeeded) to stymie public-health efforts during the peak of the Covid pandemic.

If the Democrats just barely give in to the far-right... Just barely crack the door open... On trans and immigration issues, for example... If they acquiesce even the slightest bit... It'll open the floodgates. The right-wingers will have the momentum to go further...

I took early retirement... In my 40s. Thankful I had the means to do so. But I already had a preexisting condition... I'll admit it, morbid obesity... They consider that a preexisting condition...

We still have so much work to do addressing mental health in the US.
One idea I have: Laws requiring health insurance customers to select a "primary care psychiatrist" and see them at least twice a year, like so many see their physician twice a year.
It's a start, at least.
